Life with a Texas Dawg

I will say that the pace of life in Dallas is a bit, (just a bit) slower than it is in California, which I have come to appreciate. The quality of life here in Texas is comfortable, especially due to the favorable tax rate. Texas does not withhold State taxes from wages. Very nice indeed! The people are friendly and there is always something to do and good food to eat. As a result of my move to Dallas, I have since adopted a 100 pound German Sheppard named Hudson George III. He is a great dog who is 5 years old and does not realize he is a dog! He is very smart and a bit of a rascal too. I say this because just the other day he got into a one pound box of See's candies which I had left on the coffee table and he ate all but 5 pieces. No, he did not get sick but I was broken hearted because See's candies are not readily available in Dallas. He loves his toys and to play ball. He is a GREAT guard dog and generally very obedient. He gets along well with Kiki and Powder (my two cats). He is a Love! I just thought I would share him with you. Let me tell you that I went swimming last weekend and took the dog. Well let's just say that when I dove into the pool, Hudson George dove in after me to "save me" and I look like I was mauled by a bear or something. The bruises are healing nicely and so is the gash in my scalp from the dog trying to grab me by my hair. Ah, lessons learned. He is a good dawg!!! The saga will continue..
