Let the Best Diva Win

She sits on the throne with King of Hip Hop, she's the goddess of R&B and year after year we watch her raw talent dance her to the top of the charts crowning her the most talented R&B artist of the century. Need I say more? It's Beyonce' of course. Beyonce now expecting her first bundle of joy will be taking a short intermission, so will take the show? The curtains are still open; the stage is empty, who can temporarily take the spotlight?

R&B now stands at the peak of its competition; waiting for the next best voice, icon, and character all rapped into one. A woman of many talents is surely hard to find which further suggests that the shoes of a Diva are remotely difficult to fill. So ; Here's the rundown. First runner up Rihanna, the pop princess with her risky trends and unforgettable song titles has definitely made her mark. She has been named the only female artist of the past decade to chart ten #1's on the Hot 100 as well as the youngest soloist to notch ten Hot 100 #1's. Rihanna's hit single "We Found Love" from her third album Talk that Talk is #1 on the US record chart for the sixth week since its release. The competition is growing fierce with a rather diverse artist by the name Adele who has been in the music game for five years approaching; ironically it was her fifth album 21, which has landed her six Grammy Nominations. 2011 was a breakthrough year for Adele as she took home three American Music Awards, 2012 looks more than promising for this pop diva. Trailing behind R&B's hottest are Keri Hilson, Melanie Fiona, Monica, Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, just to name a few.

It's a tough call, but anything is possible. I'd say go into the New Year wisely ladies. The clock is ticking for the time bomb of breathless talent to blow us all away. But, keep in mind that it's only a matter of time before the Alpha Diva reclaims her title. In the meantime raise your glasses, and let the BEST Diva win. Cheers!
